It is quite strange to hear that Apple is copying Xiaomi because the reverse has been the case for years. Yesterday, Apple officially announced the invitation letter for its upcoming press conference. The company released a new poster announcing that it will hold a new product launch conference at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, October 18th. The protagonist of this event will be the new generation of MacBook Pro. This is a brand-new design and powerful notebook product that has the biggest improvement in the product line in five years. However, after the release of the announcement poster, the focus was on the poster rather than the device.
Apple’s recent poster looks identical to what we have seen from Xiaomi before. Remember the 2018 Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S?, Apple’s latest poster sure copies some elements from Xiaomi’s poster. The elements of the two are surprisingly similar, and both use similar fireworks. The texture of the light used to highlight the subject of the picture is also similar. There are just too many similarities to consider this as a mere coincidence.
Placing these images side by side makes it more difficult for people not to use the word “plagiarism”. However, the internet is not making a big deal out of this, at least for now. Nevertheless, this is an embarrassing situation for Apple and the company should be asking some questions presently.
Gizchina News of the week
Of course, no one expects Xiaomi to say anything about this. Some people used to consider Xiaomi as the “Apple of China” considering how Xiaomi’s devices look similar to Apple’s. How did it come to this for Apple? Is Apple getting lazy and can no longer design its own original poster? Is the company running out of ideas already? These are questions that enthusiasts have been asking.
Apple MacBook Pro rumors
According to Bloomberg analyst, Mark Gurman, the Macbook Pro M1X’s variants will have a 10-core CPU, eight out of which, will be high-performance cores. The remaining two cores will be high-efficiency cores. As far as the GPU is concerned, Gurman said that the two models will come with 16 and 32 cores. Furthermore, Apple could provide multiple new ports on the new machines. It is likely to bring back an HDMI port and the SD card slot. If earlier rumors prove to be true, the new Mac mini will also pack the new M1X chip under the hood. Regrettably, this device is not likely to arrive in November.
It is worth mentioning that Apple is still mum on its rumored launch event and on its new products. Nevertheless, some reports claim that the MacBook Pro will go on sale in a 14-inch and a 16-inch screen size. Moreover, the new MacBooks could support magnetic charging and come in a redesigned chassis.
