Google to produce over 7 million Pixel 6 series – a significant increase

A few hours ago, Google officially unveiled its latest flagship series, Google Pixel 6 series. According to Nikkei News, Google plans to double its smartphone shipments for the first time. Google has asked suppliers to produce more than 7 million Pixel 6 series smartphones. This number is about twice its smartphone shipments last year. For the Google Pixel 5a smartphones, Google produced five million units. Although these numbers are a breakthrough for Google, they are still far behind Apple’s iPhone 13 /Pro series. This year alone, the iPhone 13 series shipments will reach 80 million units. Google’s goal is to seize market share from Apple, Samsung, and Xiaomi. However, the company will certainly not achieve this with 7 million units.
