Samsung Galaxy Watch4 receives better gesture control and much more

Galaxy Watch4

Samsung announced the expansion of the capabilities of its smart watches Galaxy Watch4. The gadget, among other things, received additional dial settings and improved gesture control.

In particular, four new dial formats have been implemented. For fitness users, the Info Brick is designed to display key vital signs on the screen – from heart rate and stress levels to daily activity data. Other watch faces may display a weather forecast, control panel, or live wallpaper.

Gesture controls now support more actions that can be performed with simple hand motions. In addition to moving your hand twice up and down to receive calls and double turning your wrist to reject calls or turn off the alarm, a new movement is available that will allow you to quickly open a selected application or activate a function. So, by tapping, you can, for example, call up a workout list or create a new reminder.

User fall detection has been improved. If before the gadget could detect the loss of balance of the wearer during training or in everyday life, now the sensitivity can be adjusted so that the device detects falls, even if the person is standing still.

In addition, the Galaxy Watch4 can send an SOS notification to four pre-selected emergency contacts. This will help you take care of yourself and your loved ones.
