Huawei officially release its own operating system, HarmonyOS (called HongmengOS in China) a few months ago. Since the official release of this system, the company has been releasing the update to millions of devices. Unfortunately, HarmonyOS 2 is not yet available for global users. In fact, there is no information regarding the global version of HarmonyOS. However, we know that Huawei is still developing the EMUI 12 for global users. There are speculations that global users will get HarmonyOS 2 at the end of the year. However, this is only speculation and the authenticity of this rumor is very low.
At the Huawei Developer Conference, 2021 held in Songshan Lake, Dongguan, Wang Chenglu, president of Huawei Consumer BG, announced that HarmonyOS now has 157 million devices. Furthermore, he claims that third-party devices based on OpenHarmony now reach 60 million. Huawei is confident that HarmonyOS equipment will exceed 300 million units by the end of this year.
In addition, the global distribution of HarmonyOS software applications reached 5.1 million+ developers, 170+ countries and regions, and the cumulative distribution of applications reached 332.2 billion (January-September 2021). Harmony ecosystem already has 4000+ intelligent ecological products and 1800+ ecological partners. In 2021, the shipment volume of new ecological equipment will reach 60 million+.
