Soon after the official announcement, Lu Weibing, the general manager of the Redmi brand, said “Not only need to do 120W, but to do it, do it with a higher 120W”. According to him, the Redmin Note 11 series will adopt a dual-cell + dual-charge-pump solution. The dual-cells are connected in series, and the voltage of a single cell is reduced, making charging safer. The dual-charge pumps are connected in parallel, with lower resistance and less heat.

Gizchina News of the week

In August last year, Xiaomi launched the world’s first 120W wired charging. Due to restrictions on heat dissipation, wires, chips, etc., 120W fast charging can only be used on high-end flagship products. This time, Redmi has decentralized the 120W fast charging technology to the mid-range smartphones. This undoubtedly adds a more advantage to the Redmi Note 11 series. Presently, 120W fast charging can achieve a full charge (0% to 100%) in 15 minutes. Of course, this also depends on the capacity of the battery. The fast charge capacity is in line with the logan of the Note 11 series “Quick battle, full blood in a moment.”

Furthermore, Lu Weibing maintains that the Redmi Note 11 series will retain its thinness and light weight. According to him, the 120W charging capacity will not significantly increase the thickness and weight of this device. He wrote “They say 120W phones are too thick, I disagree
The Note 11 series wants to give you a slimmer 120W. Optimized design, reasonable stacking, and every cent counts. 8.34mm, one point more is too thick, one point less is too thin. Beyond the parameters, the pursuit of details, this is my pursuit of 120 points”.

At present, the biggest suspense left to consumers is the processor, so which chip will be installed in the Redmi Note 11 series? This is worth looking forward to. This new series is a complete and absolute upgrade of the previous generation. Redmi is quite proud of the Note 11 series.
