Oppo is updating its A-series of smartphones this year. Shortly after the release of a new Oppo A56 5G that happened yesterday in China, the company is bringing a new A-series smartphone. The Oppo A95 is getting a 4G variant as a new Geekbench listing suggests. The device was spotted on the popular benchmark platform with a well-known 4G chipset and a whopping 8 GB of RAM. For now, there is no hint about the release of this Oppo A95 4G, but we can expect it to go official soon.
The Oppo A95 4G has passed by the Geekbench benchmark with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 SoC. This platform is well known and is present on mid-range smartphones since 2019. Unfortunately, there aren’t many options anymore in the segment of 4G chips as companies are investing everything in the 5G segment nowadays. So, the Snapdragon 662 seems to be the choice here for 4G and affordability. This chip is still enough for daily usage of popular apps, although gaming will be quite limited.
Geekbench confirms the Adreno 610 GPU and a max clock speed of 2.0 GHz. Moreover, it will run Android 11 straight out of the box which confirms ColorOS 11 on top. The device may eventually get Android 12, but we don’t think it will arrive fastly. The device has 8 GB of RAM which is beyond what most of the smartphones with this chipset are offering. With this amount, multi-tasking should be a breeze. The device scores 312 points in the single-core tests and 1,274 in the multi-core department.

Oppo A95 4G specifications
The tipster Abhishek Yadav already shared some tidbits about the handset. According to him, the device will indeed come with Android 11 and not Android 12, as this will probably be a thing to debut with the Reno7 series. He also disclosed that the 4G mid-range smartphone will have a triple-camera setup. We expect a modest camera setup made of a primary module with more resolution and two modest sensors for macro and depth sensing. The device will have a big battery with 5,000 mAh capacity and 33W fast-chargin which is awesome.

Other alleged specs include a 6.43-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 90 Hz refresh rate and aspect ratio of 20:9. We’re not sure about this refresh rate, so digest it with a pinch of salt. The device should also bring a 3.5 mm headphone jack and a USB C port. In fact, the USB C port availability is verified, after all, it would be impossible for a micro USB port to withstand or even offer 33W charging. The source says that there is some mismatch between the tipster’s alleged battery and the rumored specs. Apparently, the battery is 4,880 mAh and not 5,000 mAh. We wouldn’t be surprised to see Oppo focusing on 5,000 mAh for marketing purposes. The 4,880 mAh capacity could be the rated capacity, and 5,000 mAh the typical capacity.
