Realme X7 Pro receives October 2021 security patch

Realme X7 Pro

Realme X7 series was one of the most exciting smartphone series launched by Realme last year. The smartphones were powered by powerful 5G chipsets and also carried gorgeous displays and cutting-edge charging technology. As usual, Realme is still providing software support for these two smartphones – The Realme X7 and Realme X7 Pro. These devices should still be eligible for one more major Android upgrade, getting Realme UI 3.0 and Android 12 in the process. While this update does not come, Realme is rolling out the usual security patches, bug fixes, and performance enhancement updates.

Today, The Realme X7 Pro is getting a new update with October 2021 security patch and fixes for some issues related to the Camera and Settings. The latest firmware update was announced through a Realme Community Forum Post. According to the changelog provided by Realme, the OTA update brings the Android security patch level to October 2021. It fixes a bunch of exploits in the system. It will ensure better system security and privacy. It fixes the screen brightness issue when recording videos in the 64 MP Pro mode.

Realme is also fixing some issues with this update. For instance, the update brings fixes for the screen turn-off issue when placing the phone near an ear during a call. It also addresses an issue with the recent tasks, and the display issue when unlocking the phone with the fingerprint. The new OTA update also tags system stability improvements. Unfortunately, these updates come as the usual “underhood” improvements. These are not being detailed here.

Realme X7 Pro update Changelog:

  • Security
    • Integrates the October 2021 Android security patch.
  • System
    • Improves system stability.
  • Settings

The update bears the RMX2121_11.C.05 build number and is reaching smartphones gradually in India. We expect a broader rollout to commence in the next few days unless that a critical bug appears in the meantime. You can head to the Settings and Software Update to check if the update is ready for your smartphone. If not, then be patient and wait a few days.
