Not long ago, Vivo unveiled a colorway for the Vivo V21 series. The new colorway arrives as Neo Spark Color and has joined the previous two color options available in India. This came as a surprise, as the V21 series is already some months old. However, this does not mean that the company is not preparing a successor for the series. Today’s report is exactly about this new successor. Apparently, the new smartphone series will come under the Vivo V23 moniker and will be composed of multiple variants. The new report comes straight from Vivo V23e. The leaked specifications suggest that the front camera will get a major upgrade.
According to reports, the Vivo V23e smartphone is coming soon. Of course, the brand is yet to disclose the device’s launch details. However, ahead of the possible launch tipster Chun has spotted the device online and uploaded it by a YouTuber before it was taken down. The video revealed the design and specifications of the upcoming Vivo handset. It will have a waterdrop notch at the top of the display for the front-facing snapper. The device will have a glass back with a plastic frame.

Judging by the leaked images, the device will have a Blue colorway featuring a gradient finish. The device also packs a rectangular-shaped camera module with a triple camera setup on the back. The device’s primary camera will house a 64 MP primary snapper. The camera will pack a secondary 8 MP ultrawide module and a 2 MP tertiary sensor.

In terms of selfies, the handset will come with a waterdrop notch with a jaw-dropping 50 MP front camera sensor. We’ve been used to seeing this resolution as the main camera, but it’s the first time we see a mid-range phone with a selfie camera featuring a crazy resolution like this one. However, the focus of the Vivo V20 series clearly is photography, and in special, selfies.
Other details leaked include the battery specifications of the device. The handset will draw its powers from a 4,030 mAh battery with 44 W fast-charging support. The phone will also feature an under-display fingerprint scanner with face unlock for biometric authentication. The handset runs Android 11-based Funtouch OS 12 out of the box and does not feature a 3.5 mm headphone jack.
Last but not least, the rumors suggest the device will come at the INR 32,700 price ($435). The device probably will hit the Indian market first. We assume it will be a 4G handset as there isn’t a 5G accompanying its rumored name.
