Chinese manufacturer, Xiaomi, is working on the Xiaomi 12 series which should officially launch in mid-December. However, the Xiaomi 12 series is not the only smartphone that will launch before the year ends. According to recent reports, the company is working on other smartphones. Recently two Xiaomi models with model numbers 2201123C and 2112123AC now have the network access certification. Although there are speculations that these devices belong to the Xiaomi 12 series, other rumors claim it is a Snapdragon 870 smartphone.
Unfortunately, the radio transmission (network access) certification does not reveal any specs of this device. However, there were reports that Redmi is working on a Snapdragon 870 smartphone. What is certain for now is that these devices will use a Snapdragon 8-series processor.
According to @DCS, this smartphone will use Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC. Furthermore, he also claims that this device will support 67W super-fast charging. This is a significant improvement from Xiaomi’s last Snapdragon 870 smartphone, Xiaomi Mi 10S which supports 33W fast charging.
The specific release time of the phone is not yet certain. Considering that the Xiaomi 12 series with Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 chip will arrive in December, this new smartphone may probably launch before December. Considering the price of the Xiaomi Mi 10S, this smartphone will not cost less than $450.

Mysterious Xiaomi smartphone appears online
Recently, an alleged real image of the Xiaomi 12 appeared online. The smartphone was spotted in the hands of an unidentified user in the subway in China. We can not get a full glimpse of the smartphone because it has a thick protective shell. According to reports, the user is conducting outdoor tests on this phone.
The Chinese manufacturer will release the Xiaomi 12 series later this year. There are speculations that the company will unveil this series in mid-December. Xiaomi may even be the first smartphone brand to use the flagship Snapdragon 898 SoC. This flagship processor uses Samsung’s 4nm manufacturing process with a super core Cortex X2. Qualcomm will probably officially release this processor by the end of the year.
The Xiaomi 12 device will come with an LTPO adaptive refresh rate screen. This feature will realize an adaptive refresh rate adjustment function between 1 – 120Hz. This feature will also bring an automatic adjustment of the display. This means that when a user activates a high-demanding game, the refresh rate of the display automatically sets to 120Hz. However, when the user is on a social app, it reduces the refresh rate significantly. This will ultimately help in the power consumption of the device.
