Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 FE could launch in early 2022, along with the Galaxy S22 series, Galaxy S21 FE, and other devices. Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Tab S7 FE in May this year. Now, the South Korean tech company is reportedly gearing up to take the wraps off the much-awaited Tab S7 FE successor dubbed the Galaxy Tab S8 FE. If the moniker is anything to go by, it will be a toned-down version of Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Tab S8 tablet.
The FE edition has been subject to several leaks and speculations lately. The earlier reports suggest that the Galaxy Tab S8 FE will go official shortly after Samsung unveils the Galaxy Tab S8 series. Furthermore, the word on the street is that the upcoming Galaxy Tab S8 series will comprise three models. These include the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra, Galaxy Tab S8+, and the vanilla Galaxy Tab S8 variant. All three models will reportedly see the light of the day early next year.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 FE Launch Date
The tech giant plans to announce the hotly-anticipated Galaxy Tab S8 FE (aka Galaxy Tab S8 Lite) towards the end of 2022. In other words, the aforesaid tablets could launch in the fourth quarter of next year (Q4 2022). While nothing is set in stone yet, multiple reports have divulged some vital information about the upcoming tablets even before it goes official. The mass production of the Galaxy Tab S8 series will kick off in late January 2022.

This piece of information comes from Display Supply Chain Consultants CEO, Ross Young. Young tweeted launch details about the Galaxy Tab A8, the S8 Ultra, and the Galaxy Tab S8+. In his tweet, he implied that Samsung will commence production of the aforesaid tablets in late January 2022. If this information proves to be true, the Galaxy Tab S8 series could launch in spring next year. The Galaxy S22 has reportedly entered production but is still tipped to launch alongside the tablets, according to a report from Good E Reader.

The Galaxy Tab S8 FE will reportedly pack Samsung’s own Exynos 2200 chipset under the hood. However, an earlier report suggests that the device could come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon series chipset. Furthermore, the Galaxy Tab S8 could sport an 11-inch LTPS TFT LCD panel that delivers a refresh rate of 120HZ. The tablet will ship with 8GB of RAM and offer a hefty onboard storage capacity of 256GB. For optics, the device will house an 8MP front shooter that will come in handy for video calling.
Aside from that, the device will feature an in-screen fingerprint sensor. It runs Android OS with One UI on top. A robust 10,090mAh battery with 45W fast charging support will be powering up the entire system. The Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra is the highest-end model in the series. The tablet features a mammoth 14.6-inch OLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. Also, it has an in-screen fingerprint sensor. The Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra will offer 12GB of RAM, coupled with 512GB of built-in storage capacity.
On the photography front, the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra has an 8MP wide-angle camera, and a 5MP ultra-wide front shooter for selfies and video calling. Furthermore, the device draws its juices from a robust 12,000mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging.
