iQOO 8 has passed through the BIS certification website, hinting at an imminent India launch of the much-awaited smartphone. iQOO India is reportedly prepping to bring the iQOO 8 and iQOO 8 Legend smartphones into the Indian market this month. In the meantime, the rumor mill has been churning out all sorts of speculations around the upcoming iQOO 8 series smartphones. It is worth mentioning here that iQOO is still mum on its plan to launch the iQOO 8 lineup in the country.
To recall, the iQOO 8 and iQOO 8 Pro smartphones went official in China in August. The smartphones succeed in the company’s well-received iQOO 7 series. Last month, a report suggested that the iQOO 8 and the iQOO 8 Legend models will launch in India soon after hitting the store shelves in the company’s home country of China. Furthermore, the word on the street is that iQOO will launch the iQOO 8 Pro variant in India as the iQOO 8 Legend. Nevertheless, the different moniker does not necessarily imply that the device will boast different specifications as well.
iQOO 8 India Launch Could Be Around The Corner
The standard iQOO 8 with model number V2136 has grabbed the BIS certification. For those who are unaware, devices need to acquire the BIS certification before launching in India. Aside from that, the certification serves as an indication that the device will launch soon in the country. The iQOO 8 and 8 Pro smartphones were recently spotted on the IMEI database. Last month, even the 1QOO 8 successors dubbed the iQOO 9 graced the IMEI database carrying model number V2171A.
