Rockstar has finally released its remasters of the iconic GTA games. Unfortunately, the company quickly withdrew Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Devinitive Edition from sale on personal computers.
Rockstar has released Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition on PC exclusively as part of the Rockstar Games Launcher. Immediately after the premiere, unfortunately, first, Rockstar Games Launcher was turned off, and secondly – when it returned, it was no longer possible to buy a new version of GTA for personal computers.
Rockstar has already explained why such a decision was made when resuming the operation of its launcher. GTA remasters for PC will be unavailable as the company has to remove files “unintentionally” contained in this version. Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition is currently unavailable for purchase. The premiere itself turned out to be an event – for many reasons – similar to Cyberpunk 2077.
As for GTA Trilogy as such, Rockstar recently posted an official graphical comparison to the originals. The premiere of this edition, however, is not what the company would like. On the other hand, we have bad news for people who are waiting for Steam Deck. The premiere of the Steam console will be delayed – the reason is, as always, the lack of components.
