Huawei Watch GT Runner has been launched in China, targetting professional athletes looking for a feature-laden smartwatch. The Chinese telecommunications equipment company launched the Watch GT Runner in its home country on Wednesday. Huawei’s recently unveiled smartwatch is ideal for users who are physically active. It is comparatively lighter than its predecessor, the Watch GT 3 that went on sale in the UK and Europe earlier this month.

Although most of the features of the newly launched smartwatch are similar to its precursor, it offers an impressive array of extra features as well. For instance, the Huawei Watch GT Runner comes with marathon track-level, high-precision tracking, running coach, AI, and more. Aside from that, the new smartwatch offers a wide range of highly advantageous sensors such as the SpO2 sensor.

Huawei Watch GT Runner Price & Availability

The Huawei Watch GT Runner smartwatch will set you back CNY 2,188 (about INR 25,500). The wearable is currently up for pre-order and will go on sale starting from November 26. It will be up for grabs via Huawei’s V Mall, various e-commerce websites, Huawei experience stores, and authorized retailers. Furthermore, you can choose between Starry Night Runner (Black), and Light (Gray) color options. To recall, the Huawei Watch GT 3 carries a starting price of CNY 1,588 (about INR 18,500).

The Watch GT Runner sports an eye-catching 1.43-inch round AMOLED display. The case is made using reinforced high-quality polymer fiber material. The black and gray color options complement the wearable’s metallic crown. The side edge of the 5ATM water-resistant smartwatch houses a button. Moreover, it comes with more than 100 sports mode tracking. On top of that, the wearable supports automatic workout detection and can track sleep patterns.

In a bid to offer accurate trajectory monitoring, the smartwatch uses dual-frequency positioning. In terms of sensors, the device has a SpO2 sensor, an optical heart rate sensor, a geomagnetic sensor, a gyro sensor, and an accelerometer.

For connectivity, the Watch GT Runner offers options such as NFC, and Bluetooth. The wearable ships with 4GB of onboard storage. The Huawei Watch GT Runner can last for about 14 days on a single charge, depending on the usage. The watch uses a magnetic thimble charging port for charging. Aside from that, it comes with real-time voice guidance, smart running plan, training recommendations, and more.
