The first rumors about Vivo X80 and iQOO 9 are starting to pop out, but so far, nothing concrete has emerged. Meanwhile, the Chinese brand keeps expanding its portfolio with new mid-range smartphone contenders. The brand will be revealing the Vivo V23e in a few days and is also gearing up to introduce a new Y-series smartphone. Worth noting that Vivo has recently unveiled the Vivo Y54s 5G and is now preparing the terrain for a new handset dubbed Vivo Y32.
The device will hit the Chinese market pretty soon, as usual, is already making its appearance through some certification websites. The device’s latest stop was by the 3C certification. The certification papers reveal a few details about the handset and confirm it will ship with 18 W fast-charging. That confirms the device’s identity as a low-end handset. The handset appeared in the listing with model number V2158A. Interestingly, this exact model number already made an appearance through the IMEI website.
Gizchina News of the week
Unfortunately, there is no other piece of information at 3C. One time that the device comes for the budget segment, we can expect modest specifications like an IPS LCD screen with at least HD+ resolution and a 5,000 mAh camera. It may come with a waterdrop notch design for the selfie camera and a double or triple-camera setup at the back. We would certainly expect at least three cameras in the past, but smartphone brands are starting to go backward in this philosophy. Now, they’re shipping devices with main + ultrawide camera arrangement rather than three of four modules where the latter sensors aren’t really useful
Vivo Y32 possible specifications
For comparison, the Vivo Y32 will be a successor for the Vivo Y31s (t1 version). This is its most recent predecessor and was released earlier this year in China. The device arrived with a MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC with up to 4 GB of RAM. It flaunts a 6.51-inch HD+ IPS LCD screen with a waterdrop notch for the 8 MP selfie snapper. Moving around to the back, it has a 13 MP + 2 MP rear camera setup. The device has a 5,000 mAh battery with 10 W charging.
Judging by the y31s specifications, we can already see an upgrade in terms of fast charging. Unfortunately, we don’t know if the rest of the specs will also be a level beyond the handset.
