Xiaomi Headphones To Use Domestic More Advanced 12nm Audio Chips

Headphones are very common audio equipment in our daily lives. In this small device, there are actually complex parts. The performance of the audio chip determines the sound quality of the headphones to a large extent. In theory, the more advanced the audio chip manufacturing process, the stronger its performance.

However, the headphones are among those products that suffer from a global chip shortage problem. Some analysts prove it’s far from being over. Others think, for concrete industries, it already has no effect. But the thing is in all industries, the companies have had to cancel some models from their products lists.

Chip Shortage Opens New Opportunities

Recently, BusinessInsider said that as chip supply continues to be tight and wafer costs have soared, some companies have begun to transform their production models. Thus, they are redesigning chip products to somehow reduce wafer demand.

Richard Barnett, Chief Marketing Officer of Supplyframe, an electronics industry analyst firm, said, “But overall, none of these moves are enough to completely avoid the impact that’s affecting everyone and will continue to affect everyone.”

He also said that in the face of chip shortages, the affected companies lacked the means to cope. Also, these short-term strategies can only solve the problem for the moment. Moreover, long-term investments may take months or years to take effect. In his view, the chip shortage will continue until 2023.
