We are all watching as the series “issues in the Google Pixel 6” evolves. Not even a week has passed since the release of Google’s new products without revealing some next problem in them. This time around, Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro owners have complained that smartphones refuse to charge.
As it turned out, not smartphones are to blame, but incompatible cables. User complaints have surfaced on the forums that 6th Gen Pixel devices won’t charge when used with a number of third-party chargers and cables. While such problems do not arise with other devices, everything works fine.
This is believed to be due to the use of non-USB Power Delivery certified cables and adapters to charge the Pixel 6 or Pixel 6 Pro. Probably low-quality accessories were in use.
This is not to say that this behavior of smartphones is something unpredictable or out of the ordinary. Google‘s support page explicitly states that Pixel phones may not work with some cables. This appears to be done to protect the battery from potential damage that could arise from particularly slow chargers or cables that do not conform to the USB-C specification.

Google releases Pixel 6 update
Google has recently begun sending out updates for the new Pixel 6. The developer has published this information in a post on the Google Support portal. The new patch will include “minor bug fixes; and some performance improvements for the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro fingerprint reader”.
However, the company did not provide any information about the real changes. Information about the poor performance of the fingerprint scanner in the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro models appeared last month; Also, users complained about their slow operation and inability to recognize fingerprints on the first try. Google responded that the problem was due to the use of “hardened security algorithms”.
Although Google did not previously mention that the scanner’s slow operation with hardware or software components is associated; the description for the update indirectly indicates that the problem is in the software.
Google is preparing for the release of the Google Pixel 6a, which will become a compact and lite version of the Pixel 6. It was logical to assume that the camera in the new product will be like its older brothers and the company will continue to bring to the masses “an excellent camera for an inexpensive budget”. But rumors circulated online that the Pixel 6a could be simplified on the camera side as well.
