The Realme 9 Pro Plus smartphone has bagged BIS certification, suggesting that its launch is around the corner. Realme is on the verge of unveiling its Realme 9 series smartphones. Before going official, the lineup has been subject to multiple leaks and speculations. For instance, a fresh leak suggests that the upcoming series will have four smartphones including the Realme 9i, Realme 9 Pro+/Max, Realme 9 Pro, and the Realme 9.

The global launch event for the Realme 9i is likely to take place early next year. Moreover, some reports suggest that Realme will be hosting two events to announce the upcoming smartphones. While nothing is set in stone yet, a new leak has divulged vital information about the Realme 9 Pro Plus model. To recall, the Realme 9 Pro Plus was spotted on the IMEI database with model number RMX3393 back in October. It is tipped to boast better specifications than its Realme 9 Pro and the Realme 9 siblings.

Realme 9 Pro Plus Gets BIS Certified

The upcoming Realme 9 Pro Plus model has passed through the BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) certification website. Moreover, it carries model number RMX3392. As mentioned, the phone was spotted on the IMEI database with a different model number, RMX3393. According to a report from MySmartPrice, the model number RMX3392 could belong to the Realme 9 Pro variant. Likewise, the report suggests that the RMX3393 model number could be linked to the Realme 9 Pro Plus variant.

Noted leaker Mukul Sharma shared a screenshot showing the aforesaid model number listed on the BIS certification website. Regrettably, the listing does not include key specifications of the upcoming handset. Nevertheless, the Realme 9 series smartphones are likely to go official in India in the first quarter of 2022. In other words, more shreds of information about the lineup could surface online in the coming days. However, some earlier reports have revealed the key specifications of the Realme 9 Pro+ smartphone.

Specifications & Other Speculated Details

Despite the lack of an official confirmation, key specifications of the upcoming Realme 9 series smartphones have been making the rounds online. The series will probably pack the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC under the hood. Furthermore, the lineup is likely to come with 5G connectivity support. On the photography front, smartphones could house 108MP cameras. Aside from that, they are likely to sport AMOLED displays that offer a high refresh rate of 120Hz.

A report by The Pixel suggests that the Realme 9i will be the first Realme 9 series smartphone to launch globally in January 2022. The phone will reportedly feature a MediaTek Helio G90T SoC rather than packing a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset. Furthermore, the phone will probably draw its juices from a 5,000mAh battery. For optics, it is likely to feature four rear-mounted cameras. Realme is reportedly gearing up for an imminent launch of the Realme GT 2 Pro in India.

The Realme GT 2 Pro could hit the store shelves in the country during the first quarter of 2022 (Q1 2022). To recall, the device had scored a whopping one million points in AnTuTu benchmark tests.
