It seems that a Poco M3 unit has caught on fire, with Twitter user Mahesh (@Mahesh08716488) tweeting that the smartphone caught fire and blew up.
This is becoming an increasingly common issue in recent times, with devices such as the OnePlus Nord 2 featuring regularly on the news for similar situations.
The image on Twitter shows a Poco M3 with the bottom part of the device full of damage, with the top module being the only part that is visible.
Do note that as of the time of writing this article, the tweets from both Mahesh and Poco seem to have been removed from the platform, which is a bit peculiar.

What Else is the Company Working on?
In other news, according to a new report POCO will soon launch a laptop in India. The launch hints at an imminent launch of POCO’s first laptop in the country.
The battery draws its powers from a 3,620 mAh capacity which is a 55.02Wh battery unit. This battery looks like a replacement battery. POCO can very well launch a gaming laptop. But so far nothing has been confirmed. However, it is the first time since POCO announced its ecosystem expansion.
Joining the dots, we can say that POCO might be looking to launch a laptop in India in the coming months. However, for now, it is better to take these with a slight grain of salt.
Apart from the product lineup, the company is also working to add more customizations that will be exclusive to POCO smartphones only. This suggests the arrival of a new UI that will be different from MIUI, or at least, a set of features coming exclusively for POCO devices. We can bet in the first option, as other brands’ subsidiaries are also betting in the strategy of separate software.
