After months of rumours and speculation, Samsung has officially launched the Samsung Galaxy A13 5G in the US market, as the cheapest 5G phone in its lineup. This comes at a time when there are reports suggesting that a 4G variant of the smartphone is in the works for other markets.
The device makes inroads in terms of the optics and key features, with the budget handset featuring a 50MP shooter to the back and support for 5G connectivity as well. 90Hz refresh rate support and a rather massive 5000 mAh battery are also present.
When it comes to the pricing and availability of the device, the Samsung Galaxy A13 5G is available for $249 or around Rs 18,000 for the single 4GB+64GB variant, with the device available for purchase via AT&T from December 3.

Furthermore, customers can also avail the device for $6.95 on a monthly basis in a three-year installment plan from AT&T. The phone is likely going to be available via T-Mobile in January.
As of the time of writing this article, we do not know if it is coming to India, but, the 4G variant is definitely coming to the country since it is currently being manufactured in Noida at Samsung’s facility.

In terms of the specifications of the device, the Samsung Galaxy A13 5G sports a 6.5-inch HD Plus display coupled with support for 90Hz refresh rate. The device features a waterdrop-notch along with thick bezels on the chin.
Optics-wise, there are triple-rear cameras with a primary 50MP shooter alongside a 2MP macro and 2MP depth sensor, while for selfies, users will make use of a 5MP camera.
Performance is decent too, with the device making use of the MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC with 4GB RAM. The phone comes in a lone 64GB variant which can be expanded up to 1TB via a microSD card.
The smartphone relies for power on a 5,000mAh battery with support for 15W charging, with the Galaxy A13 5G running OneUI 3 on top of Android 11 out of the box. Connectivity options include a USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, 5G Sub 6 and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac.

In other Samsung news, some key details about the Galaxy A13 4G handset have been leaking recently. A new 91Mobiles report has leaked the live image of the device’s rear panel. It confirms the “waterdrop” or “raindrop” design for the device’s camera setup.
