Samsung Galaxy Note10 series enter One UI 4 beta program

According to fresh reports, the Samsung Galaxy Note series that revolutionized the smartphone market back in its days is now buried. Samsung didn’t introduce a Galaxy Note 21 series last year, and won’t unveil new smartphones this year. So, the Galaxy S22 Ultra will be the spiritual successor for all Note fans that want the same experience. The flagship will bring a very Note-esque design and will introduce an S Pen slot. Despite the lack of new devices, Samsung will still honor the old smartphones that are still eligible for updates. Today, the company is affirming its commitment with Galaxy Note10 users rolling out the first One UI 4.0 beta.

The South Korean firm is now allowing Korean users to enroll their Galaxy Note10 and Note10+ into the One UI 4.0 beta program. If you want to flash this update as soon as possible in your Note10 smartphone, the process requires you to head to the Samsung Members app. Once opened, you’ll see the banner for the One UI 4 Beta update. After joining the early access program for the Android 12 update, you’ll need to wait until Samsung start to roll it. It shouldn’t take so long, as the company is progressing well with the One UI 4 Beta program.

After enrolling, make sure to check the Software Update sub-menu inside the Settings application. Once the update becomes available, it will be shown there.

Galaxy Note10 series One UI 4 beta introduces RAM Plus feature

One UI 4.0 will bring a set of enhancements and new features for the Galaxy Note10 and Note10+. The duo of devices will get UI refreshments and a new wallpaper-based theming engine. There are also enhancements for security and wellbeing in this update. Furthermore, Samsung is introducing, for the first time, the virtual RAM or RAM Plus feature. The Galaxy Note10 series smartphones will get 4 GB of extra RAM with the update. Of course, it will take a portion of your internal storage to do so. The concept of virtual RAM has been available on PCs for several years, and since the last year, smartphone brands started to push it on smartphones.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 smartphones bring AMOLED displays, triple-camera setup and are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 or Exynos 9825 depending on the region. Worth noting that the update is available for Korean smartphones, but it should be just a matter of time until expands the availability to other markets.
