Though there have been many rumors suggesting the Xiaomi Mi 12 and its sibling the Pro version will be the world’s first Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 phones, it’s not so. We already know that the Moto Edge X30 will debut this chip, going on sale on December 15. But the Xiaomi phones won’t arrive too late.
According to the latest news, the Xiaomi Mi 12 and Mi 12 Pro have already visited the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The Mi 12 model is 2201123C, and the Mi 12 Pro model is 2201122C.
In addition, there is a model 2112123AC that has also entered the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology as well. It belongs to the Mi 12 series. So there is every reason to think we are talking about the small-screen version, namely the Xiaomi Mi 12 Lite. It will have two storage versions: 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB.

The Xiaomi Mi 12 Pro looks more eye-catching. The phone will come with a 2K high-refresh-rate large screen + 100W fast charge + 5x ultra-telephoto lens. There are rumors as the MIUI 13 will coming our way from these phones out of the box. But we have also heard MIUI 13 will come later.
The vanilla version will feature a 50-megapixel ultra-large-bottom main camera. But the Mi 12 Pro will boast of a 200-megapixel ultra-high-pixel main camera. We are talking about the Samsung ISOCELL HP1 sensor, the size of which is 1/1.22 inches.
The Mi 12 series phones may also have a built-in 4700mAh battery and a 5000mAh battery respectively. As said, they ought to support 120W wired fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging.
The Mi 12’s small-screen version will attend the conference as well. It should come with the Snapdragon 870 and a small 6.3-inch screen.
