Apple iPad Pro, iPad Air 5 & iPad 10 Launch Date, Updated Specs Tipped

iPad Pro 2021

Apple is reportedly gearing up to unveil radically overhauled versions of the iPad Pro, Mac Pro, iMac, and a slew of other devices next year. The Cupertino-based tech behemoth is set to launch several products with a new design in 2022 if recently surfaced information is anything to go by. According to a report from Mark Gurman’s Power On newsletter (via Bloomberg), the company plans to update the entry-level Apple iPad Air and the iPad Pro in 2022.

Furthermore, Gurman claims that the new devices will adopt a brand new design for the tablet, pack new chips under the hood, and boast an array of new features. This piece of information coincides with an earlier report that suggested the Apple iPad Pro, and the MacBook Pro could sport new Samsung-branded OLED panels. Aside from that, he suggests that the iPad Pro could lead the way, with the other two products going official around the same time as the new iPad Pro.

Apple iPad Pro, iPad, and iPad Air Launch Date

In his latest report., Gurman has shed light on Apple’s upcoming products for 2022. Moreover, he suggests that the iPad Pro 2022 edition will get a new design. Aside from that, he claims that the upcoming model will even support wireless charging. If this speculation proves to be true, the devices will feature glass backs just like the iPhone 12 and other iPhones that support wireless charging. Regrettably, Gurman did not divulge details about the processor that will be powering up the device. Nevertheless, the upcoming devices are likely to pack new versions of the M1 laptop chips.

The entry-level iPad is highly likely to get the company’s A13 Bionic chipset. Moreover, it could sport a True Tone display and house a 12MP ultra-wide front-mounted camera for video calling. On top of that, the device could come with the Centre Stage feature. For the uninitiated, this feature ensures that the user remains in the center of the frame while video calling, even if they move. To recall, Apple updated the entry-level iPads back in 2017. So, it is highly likely that it could be gearing up to roll out a new update into the market.

iPad Air 2022

According to Gurman’s report, Apple will be upgrading the new products with new features. These features will be similar to the company’s current top tablets. The only notable difference between the iPad Air and iPad Pro series is the processor they pack under the hood. The iPad Pro is powered by the M series chips. However, the iPad Air draws its juices from the A-series processors. Even before Gurman hinted at these changes, there have been several speculations around the upcoming products. Some earlier reports have indicated that the entry-level iPad 2022 will have a slimmer body. The device could look like the 3rd generation of the iPad Air 3.
