Meanwhile, rumors surrounding the Chinese smartphone manufacturer’s upcoming premium flagship phone have been making the rounds online. To recall, Motorola adopted the same strategy for its newly launched Moto Edge X30 smartphone. While nothing is set in stone yet, more shreds of important information about the Realme GT 2 Pro have popped up on the internet.

Gizchina News of the week
The About Device section of the smartphone reveals that a Snapdragon Gen 1 chipset will be powering up the entire system. This information coincides with an earlier report that teased the presence of the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 chip under the hood. Aside from that, it hints at 12GB RAM and 3GB of virtual RAM for seamless multitasking. Moreover, the device seems to be running Realme’s proprietary Realme UI 3.0 based on Android 12 OS. However, the most notable information revealed by the image is that the GT 2 Pro will offer up to a whopping 1TB of built-in storage capacity.
What Else To Expect?
Another reliable insider Digital Chat Station has revealed some key details about the upcoming phone’s display and camera configuration via a Weibo post. According to DCS, the GT 2 Pro will sport a mammoth 6.7-inch flat AMOLED display that delivers a refresh rate of 120Hz. Furthermore, it will be the company’s first phone to offer a Quad HD+ display resolution. However, this is not surprising, given that Realme is leaving no stone unturned to tighten its grip on the premium flagship segment.
The tipster also claims that Samsung will be supplying the display panel for Realme’s upcoming GT 2 Pro smartphone. For optics, the Realme GT 2 Pro is likely to house a 50MP main camera. The primary camera comes with a 1/1.5-inch sensor and OIS. This sensor could turn out to be the Sony IMX766 that has already arrived on the OnePlus Nord 2 and other handsets. Moreover, the phone’s main camera could be joined by a telephoto lens and an ultra-wide-angle lens. The phone will probably house a 32MP selfie camera.
Past leaks suggest that the GT 2 Pro will use a battery that supports 65W SuperDart fast charging. The word on the street is that the phone will debut the 125W UltraDart charging. However, that’s unlikely to happen.
