Xiaomi MIX Fold2 dual display will support a high refresh rate

Xiaomi Mi Mix Fold

Foldable smartphones are now very popular but only two brands currently have a grip on the entire market. A recent report from DSCC shows that Samsung and Huawei have 99% of the foldable smartphone market for Q3 2021. While Samsung has a 93% market share, Huawei has only 6%. The other brands with foldable smartphones including Xiaomi, Motorola, Royole, Microsoft, TCL, and others share just 1%. A new leak shows the Xiaomi MIX Fold2 in the IMEI database. The model number is 22061218C while the code name is L18. This will be Xiaomi’s second foldable smartphone and it will officially arrive in the second half of 2022.

Xiaomi MIX Fold2

The biggest upgrade point of the Xiaomi MIX Fold2 is the display. This time, this device will have internal and external screens that support high refresh rates. As we all know, only the external screen of Xiaomi Mi MIX Fold has a high refresh rate of 90Hz (screen size is 6.52 inches). The internal screen has a refresh rate of 60Hz (screen size is 8.01 inches). The Xiaomi MIX Fold2 will upgrade the previous generation and it will also come with an under-display camera.

The only Xiaomi smartphone with an under-display camera is the Xiaomi Mi MIX 4. This smartphone realizes a true full-screen form without a punch-hole in the display. If Xiaomi MIX Fold2 uses this technology, coupled with the advantages of the large screen, the experience of watching movies, games, and other scenes will be more immersive.

Gizchina News of the week
