The Honor Magic Fold 5G smartphone’s official-looking render has surfaced online, ahead of the phone’s imminent launch. After splitting from Huawei, Honor has been on a launch spree. The independent brand has brought quite a few premium devices into the market lately. Now, it seems that the company is trying to up the ante by launching foldable phones. In February of this year, the rumor mill started churning out speculations surrounding an imminent launch of a foldable Honor handset.
Moreover, the company was gearing up for a 2021 launch of its foldable device. In June, Honor reportedly registered the Honor Magic Fold and Honor Magic Flip trademarks in China. Around the same time, some reports suggested that the Honor Magic Fold will adopt an inward folding design. If this speculation proves to be true, the new foldable device from Honor would bear a striking resemblance to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3. Although the internet is teeming with these speculations, Honor is still mum on its plan to unveil the foldable device.

Taking to their Twitter account on Friday (December 10), noted insider Teme shared a few Honor Magic Fold 5G renders. The external display seems to extend all the way to the back of the device’s left panel. Just like the last two Galaxy Z Fold variants, the Magic Fold 5G shows into a large tablet display when fully opened.
