Vivo is preparing a major event for December 22 in China. During the event, the company will unveil its new Vivo S12 series of smartphones alongside its second iteration for the market of wearables, the Vivo Watch 2. Despite the fact that the big event will only happen in the next week, the company decided to completely reveal the devices through new teaser images. The promo images leave nothing to the imagination. Of course, we’re talking about the design aspects of these devices. Features and actual key specifications will be revealed at the event as well as the pricing details for the Indian market.
The devices previously leaked, but now, we get an official confirmation from the company. Vivo went ahead of the leakster, by showing their devices by themselves. “If you can win, just join them”. The event, scheduled to take place at 7:30 PM local time next Wednesday. The Vivo S12 smartphones will come in three colorways – Island Blue, Warm Gold, and Shining Black. There is also a fourth colorway, a green-blueish paint job. It may be exclusive for a particular storage option.
Gizchina News of the week
When it comes to the Vivo Watch 2, the wearable will offer seven days of battery life and independent communication. This probably means that the wearable will offer support for an eSIM slot. Pre-orders and reservations are already open through several stores, but the price is still unknown. It will be revealed the next Wednesday.
Vivo S12 alleged specs
The promo images reveal a device with curved renders. Considering the previous rumors, we know that the one with curved edges is the Vivo S12 Pro. The vanilla handset is touted to come with a flat display. The two devices will have a notch that resembles the iPhone 13 series. The displays are gorgeous, and probably both devices use AMOLED standards. We can easily guess the resolution is Full HD+.
According to the rumors, the Vivo S12 Pro will boast the excellent MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC. This platform comes with 1 x ARM Cortex-A78 core clocked at up to 3 GHz, three ARM Cortex-A78 at up to 2.6 GHz, and four ARM Cortex-A55 cores clocked at up to 2.0 GHz. The device should come with up to 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of Storage. We expect large batteries with at least 4,000 mAh capacity and 44W fast charging. We assume that both handsets will run Android 12-based Origin OS Ocean straight out of the box.
If Vivo watch 2 has a Bright Amoled Display of at least 1.7 inch with 7-10 days battery..only then will i buy it..hate tiny watches.
