OnePlus Nord 2 CE 5G smartphone’s renders have popped up on the internet, revealing some key information about the upcoming handset. The Nord 2 CE has been floating around the rumor mill for quite some time now. The phone is codenamed “Ivan,” and is likely to go official next year. While nothing is set in stone yet, some OnePlus Nord 2 CE phone’s specifications have already been revealed. Furthermore, the word on the street is that the device will be going official in India and Europe.
Aside from that, details about the price tag the OnePlus Nord 2 CE 5G smartphone could be carrying at launch have been revealed. More details about the upcoming OnePlus device continue to surface on the internet. These leaks are a sign that the Chinese smartphone manufacturer is actually planning to launch the phone in the coming days. While OnePlus is still mum on its plan to bring the purported handset into the market soon, 91mobiles have shared OnePlus Nord 2 CE phone’s renders. The publication teamed up with noted leaker Yogesh Brar to give us our first look at the upcoming OnePlus phone.
OnePlus Nord 2 CE Renders
The recently surfaced OnePlus Nord 2 CE renders give us a glimpse of the phone’s awe-inspiring design. The renders show that the new Nord phone will be drawing inspiration from the Nord 2 for its outward appearance. However, the rear-mounted camera setup of the Nord 2 CE appears to be slightly different than the Nord 2. Furthermore, the OnePlus Nord 2 CE will not get rid of the 3.5mm audio jack. The renders show the phone in a Grey color option. However, there’s also a render showing the phone’s Olive Green color variant.

Furthermore, the phone doesn’t seem to feature a cutout for the fingerprint sensor. In other words, the OnePlus Nord 2 CE could come with an in-display fingerprint scanner. This suggests that the phone will sport an AMOLED panel. Upfront, the phone has a punch-hole cutout to accommodate the selfie camera. Aside from that, it has slim bezels and a flat-screen. The top bezel house the speaker grille. The volume up and down buttons are on the left. The right edge houses the power button. The rear panel has a rectangular module that includes three camera lenses. These include one regular-sized sensor and a couple of large sensors.
The secondary microphone that offers noise cancellation is available at the top. The bottom edge, on the other hand, provides real estate for the main microphone, the speaker grille, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Specifications, Launch & Price (Expected)
Earlier this month, OnePlus Nord 2 CE key specifications were leaked online. Aside from that, an earlier report (via GSM Arena) implied that the OnePlus Nord 2 CE could launch by the end of January or mid-February next year. Moreover, the report suggests that the OnePlus Nord 2 CE phone India price will be between INR 24,000 (about $315) and INR 28,000 (about $370). In terms of optics, the Nord 2 CE will reportedly feature a 64MP OmniVision main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP macro lens at the back. Upfront, the phone could house a 16MP selfie camera.
Moreover, the OnePlus Nord 2 CE could draw its juices from a 4,500mAh battery that supports 65W fast charging. Under the hood, it will probably pack a MediaTek Dimensity 900 5G processor. The device might ship with 8GB and 12GB of RAM and offer 256GB of onboard storage, which can be expanded. Further, the device is highly likely to run Android 12 OS with OxygenOS 12 custom skin on top. Aside from that, it will offer a host of connectivity options such as a USB Type-C port, NFC, GPS, a microSD card slot, dual-SIM, 5G, and 4G LTE.
