Oppo Find N

After many months of rumors and leaks, followed by unconfidence, Oppo surprised everyone this month with the release of its very first foldable smartphone – the Oppo Find N. The device generated quite a buzz thanks to its flagship specifications. Furthermore, it has a screen that looks better than what we currently have in the market. The device has been launched in China and it seems that customers are fighting to get one. The company opened the sales with limited quantities of the device, and after just a few seconds, the Oppo Find N sold out. Now, reports from China suggest that the resale prices on the secondary market have reached an impressive $1880.

Oppo Find N is sold for almost $2000 in the aftermarket

The Oppo Find N variant with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of Internal Storage. It can be found in the secondary market for a price of CNY 9,299 ($1,457). The high-tier variant is the one reaching the impressive CNY 12,000 ($1,880) mark and it ships with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of Internal Storage. To recall, the basic model is sold officially by Oppo at a reasonable CNY 7,699 ($1,206) price, while the top-tier version costs CNY 8,999 ($1,410). This is way beyond common smartphones, but it’s not too overly expensive for a foldable. A few years back, these devices easily reached the $2000 price tag.

Gizchina News of the week

The official sales are set to start in China next Thursday, December 23. Oppo has also confirmed that the device will remain China-exclusive. That certainly sounds like bad news for international customers that were dreaming of this new foldable handset. For the time being, foldable technology will remain under Samsung’s belt, at least when it comes to the international market. The Galaxy Z Fold3 which is very similar to the Oppo Find N is widely available across the world and is selling much better than its predecessors.
