LG is not a popular brand in the notebooks field. But its latest Gram series with ultralight models have made impressive achievements in recent years. Now, the manufacturer wants to enter the gaming notebook market. Today, the Southe Korean brand released the LG UltraGear 17G90Q gaming notebook. It boasts a 17.3-inch 300Hz gaming screen. The laptop has a 21.4mm thickness and weighs 2.64 kg. Thus, we are still dealing with an ultrabook.

The hardware configuration of the LG UltraGear 17G90Q gaming notebook is very powerful. The laptop sports a 17.3-inch IPS panel. It has a 1ms response time and a 300Hz high refresh rate. Also, the display has a 1920×1080 resolution and a 99% sRGB color gamut. It also has a fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button, a 1080p webcam, and the casing is made from aluminum.

Under the hood, our protagonist features the 11th generation Core H chip. Without mentioning the specific model, the graphics card is RTX 3080 Max-Q, while the memory is 16/32GB. At the same, time the SSD hard disk can reach 1TB capacity. It supports dual M.2 hard disks and comes with a 93Wh battery.

In other aspects, the LG UltraGear 17G90Q gaming notebook uses a unique purple color. It also supports RGB keyboard lights. As for connectivity, there are USB 4 Gen3 x 2 and Thunderbolt 4 ports, Wi-Fi 6E network support, card reader, and RJ45 network port. The laptop has DTS Ultra dual speakers for an immersive sound experience.

LG said that the UltraGear 17G90Q game will be launched in South Korea and the United States in the Q1 quarter of 2022. The price has not yet been announced. However, if compared with the Gram series laptops, the first gaming notebooks of LG won’t be cheap.

Recently, the company released three new LG Gram notebooks in India. Those models are available in 14-, 16-, and 17-inch screen versions. Inside, they carry the 11th-generation Intel Core processors. Moreover, they have highly competent Iris Xe graphics, paired with up to 16GB LPDDR4x RAM. The new lineup offers 512GB of expandable SSD storage.

As for the displays, the LG Gram 17 features a 17-inch WQXGA IPS display with 2,560×1,600 pixels resolution; the LG Gram 16 has a 16-inch display but offers the same WQXGA resolution; the LG Gram 14 comes with a 14-inch WUXGA display with 1,920×1,200 pixels resolution. They all offer 99% DCI-P3 coverage and an aspect ratio of 16:10.
