Philips Launches PH1 Budget Handset With Quad-Core Processor, 4700 mAh Battery

Popular electronics maker Philips has launched a new smartphone in the Chinese market, under the PH1 moniker. This device is an entry-level handset with a quad-core processor and a large display.

The Philips PH-1 comes equipped with a dual rear camera setup and a rather large battery. The Philips PH1 is available for a budget price and the device can be bought in multiple hues.

The Philips PH1 is on offer in three memory variants, the base 4GB + 32GB, 4GB + 64GB, and 4GB + 128GB. The base variant of the device is available for RMB 499 (around Rs. 5,910).

While the 64GB storage variant is on offer for RMB 569 (or Rs. 6,740) with the top-end variant with 128GB internal storage retailing for RMB 769 (approx Rs. 9,110).

When it comes to the specifications side of things, the Philips PH1 comes with a 6.5-inch HD+ LCD display with a resolution of  720 x 1600 and an 18:9 aspect ratio. The display also features a waterdrop notch.

Under the hood, performance is reliant on the quad-core UniSoC Tiger T310 SoC that is built on a 12nm process. This processor comes coupled with the PowerVR GT7200 GPU for graphic tasks. The handset is on offer with up to 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage.

What Else Do We Know About the New Device?

Optics-wise, the device has a dual-rear camera setup with a LED flash, with the primary sensor being a 13MP shooter with a 3MP secondary sensor. Towards the front is a 5MP front shooter.

The Philips PH1 comes with a 4700mAh battery with USB Type-C charging. Do note that there is no fast charging support and a fingerprint sensor is also missing.

Connectivity options include Dual Sim, 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, and GPS. The Philips PH1 can be bought in multiple hues, namely Sky Blue, China Red and Graphite Grey.

In other news, OnePlus is gearing up to launch the OnePlus Buds Z2 in the country of India, with a launch likely in Q1 of 2022. The OnePlus Buds Z2 will come to the country as successors to the Buds Z, which was quite popular due to a rather low price tag.

Now, 91mobiles has learned about the pricing of the OnePlus Buds Z2 in India, via noted tipster Yogesh Brar. However, as of the time of writing this article, the exact launch date in India is not known.

The OnePlus Buds Z2 will likely retail in India for Rs 4,999 and will be on offer in the lone Pearl White colour option despite there being an Obsidian Black hue, which will likely be available next year.
