All smartphone makers are currently actively promoting their upcoming flagship phones. The competition has become much fiercer than ever before. So the pre-launch marketing campaigns are essential for any company. This is also true for OPPO’s sub-brand, namely Realme. It’s been working on its forthcoming flagship series – the Realme GT 2- for a while. The latter will sport Qualcomm’s latest flagship chip dubbed as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. Plus, we know that this handset will debut the world’s first 150-degree ultrawide camera. Today, we got the first official teasers for the Realme GT 2 Pro. Also, it confirmed the launch date.

The company’s CEO Sky Li posted on Twitter today that the Realme GT 2 series will be globally uncovered on January 4. The launch event will take place in Mainland China at 11:30 UTC.
As said, besides the official confirmation of the release date, they also showed the actual look of the Realme GT 2 Pro through promo materials. The company says it has been designed by Naoto Fukasawa, a Japanese industrial designer. He is the same designer who made the Realme GT Master Edition series that came out in July this year. The brand says the phone’s design is inspired by paper. It uses a new bio-based polymer material.
Gizchina News of the week
Realme GT 2 Pro Features
Well, the launch date is getting closer. So it’s quite logical that we have heard too much about its highlights. Say, the Realme GT 2 Pro will come with the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. The latter has scored more than 1 million points in AnTuTu. Also, it will sport a 150-degree ultrawide camera with a new Fish Eye mode. According to the previous leaks, it should adopt a Google Nexus 6P-like camera design. But now, we see that it’s been fake news.
Anyway, the phone is said to come with a new “Antenna Array Matrix System”. The latter incorporates ultra-wide-band antenna-switching technology called HyperSmart, a Wi-Fi Enhancer, and 360° NFC. All these are considered to be the latest technologies in the connectivity field.
The Realme GT 2 Pro ought to come with a 1TB storage version. At least, a leaked photo shows a corresponding screen. Also, we can see that the Android version is 12. Apart from this, the handset must feature 12GB RAM. But due to the memory fusion technology, it would be able to “steal” 3GB from the storage.
Lastly, the GT 2 Pro will sport a 6.7-inch flat AMOLED display that delivers a refresh rate of 120Hz. It is going the first Realme phone to offer a Quad HD+ display resolution.
