Lenovo’s Legion products are well known for their gaming-focused approach. Recently, Lenovo expanded the range of its Legion Gaming series to smartphones. Now, the company is pushing it onto the tablet segment. The Chinese firm is one of the brands that have a strong portfolio of tablets, now, this portfolio is getting further diversified with a new gaming-focused tablet. The new device carries a Lenovo Legion Y700 moniker and comes with a large display with high-refresh-rate.
Lenovo Legion Y700 specifications
The Lenovo Legion Y700 was announced in China recently and is going on sale pretty soon. The company has not yet announced the pricing details for this device yet. In the same way, the company didn’t disclose all the specifications but shared some of the display specs and features coming with this gaming tablet.
The Lenovo Legion Y700 gaming tablet flaunts an 8.8-inch display with a 2,560 x 1,600 pixels of resolution. When held horizontally, the screen has slightly thick bezels on the sides, which provide enough surface for players to hold that tablet while playing games.

As a gaming tablet, the Legion Y700 has a 120 Hz refresh rate support. It packs a 240 Hz touch sampling rate and a 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut. Moving around to the back, the tablet comes with a single rear camera sensor with an LED flash. Other features include a brushed metal finish design. The tablet also boasts JBL-tuned speakers with Dolby Atmos support. We suspect the tablet has Quad Speakers to ensure an immersive audio experience.
In terms of specifications, the details are still unknown. According to rumors, the tablet will draw its powers from the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. This would be the first tablet to sport Qualcomm’s new flagship platform. It boasts ARMv9 cores and is based on the 4 nm process. There is 1 x ARM Cortex-X2 core at up to 3 GHz, 3 x ARM Cortex-A710 cores clocked at up to 2.5 GHz, and 4 x ARM Cortex-A510 cores clocked at up to 1.8 GHz. The device may come in variants with 8 GB of RAM or 12 GB of RAM with up to 256 GB of Internal Storage. The tablet may also bring physical triggers and some kind of haptic feedback. There might be a good cooling system, and there is plenty of space for it.
The Lenovo Legion Y700 may reach the market in the first quarter of 2022. Given this announcement, we suspect more details will appear very soon.
