Realme is gearing up to introduce its new flagship in the form of Realme GT 2 Pro. It will arrive on January 4 and has been certified by TENAA recently. There are two Realme GT 2 Pro models coming – the RMX 3300 and RMX 3301. The former has been certified by the Chinese regulatory agency and thanks to it we know all the devices’ specifications. The Realme GT 2 Pro is coming to compete with the Xiaomi 12 series in China and actually comes as Realme’s true flagship of 2022 aiming at the big brands.
Realme GT 2 Pro specifications
The Realme GT 2 Pro is 8.2 mm thick and weighs 199 grams. The specifications come around a massive 6.7-inch AMOLED with a QHD+ resolution. Under the hood, the device will boast the recently released Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. This Octa-Core CPU is based on the 4 nm fabrication process and has an ARM Cortex-X2 core clocked at up to 3 GHz, three Cortex-A710 cores clocked at up to 2.5 GHz, and four + Cortex-A510 cores clocked at up to 1.8 GHz.
According to TENAA listing the Realme GT 2 Pro has two RAM options – 8 GB and 12 GB. Storage-wise, there are three possible options 128 GB, 256 GB, and 512 GB. The listing does not mention the Android version, but we are really hoping to see that Realme UI 3.0 on top of Android 12. Curiously, there is a variant with 12 GB of RAM and 1 TB of Internal Storage, but this should be sold as a super-premium version.
Gizchina News of the week
The Realme GT 2 Pro features a total of four cameras. There is a 32 MP selfie shooter, and a triple camera setup with two 50 MP cameras and one 2 MP snapper. The second 50 MP camera probably is for ultra-wide angle shots. The third and final 2 MP shooter probably stands for depth sensing, and that is not really useful nowadays. Worth noting that you’ll need to forget the Nexus 6p-like design that appeared in a series of renders. Apparently, these renders were fake and the device is more on par with the Realme GT 2 Neo. It packs a square island with two big modules and a third smaller snapper placed between two LED flashes.
In terms of battery, TENAA has listed the device with a rated battery capacity of 2,440 mAh. Don’t worry, this probably refers to a single cell. So, we expect Realme to ship the device with a dual-cell battery and a total capacity of 5,000 mAh battery. This dual-cell tech is what allows the battery to withstand the rates of 65W charging, although the device is rumored to come with Realme’s UltraDART 125W charging. However, this is just a rumor as we’re yet to see a clear indication of that. For now, we can say that at least 65W charging is granted here.
The TENAA certification also confirms the Realme GT 2 Pro will come with an in-display fingerprint scanner and support 5G networks. However, it didn’t disclose images of the device in the list. Anyway, we already know how the Realme GT 2 Pro Master Edition will have.
