Huawei’s system HarmonyOS has a charging protection feature that allows the system to detect fake chargers. If the charger in use is not original, there is a prompt to alert the user. However, this charger will not cause harm to the smartphone. HarmonyOS will ensure that the charger does not fast-charge the device even if it supports fast charging. This is because, at high charging speeds, the charger may be dangerous to the smartphone.
Some users of Huawei Mate 20X (on HarmonyOS) got a notification that reads “this data cable will reduce the charging speed, please use the officially recommended data cable and connect it correctly”. It also provides a link for users to click and learn more. Huawei Mall has official 5A USB Type-C and 5A / 6A USB Type-C data cables which are its official cables.
After completing the HarmonyOS software upgrades, Huawei recommends that you charge the device for 30-60 minutes when idle. During charging, the system will be deeply optimized to ensure the best HarmonyOS experience.
At the winter flagship new product launch conference on December 23, Huawei announced that the number of devices equipped with HarmonyOS now exceeds 220 million. In 2021, the shipment of ecological equipment will reach 100 million+.
According to Huawei, HarmonyOS 2 is now available for all the relevant products ahead of schedule. Currently, hundreds of Huawei and Honor devices have the official version of HarmonyOS 2.

HarmonyOS 2 adaptation history
Huawei officially released the HarmonyOS system on June 2nd. In the first week, by June 9, this system already had over 10 million users. In two weeks, this operating system had over 18 million users. After a month of upgrade, this system had over 25 million users. Before the end of July, this figure increased to over 40 million. In less than two months, as of early August, this operating system had over 50 million users. As of August 30th, the OS had over 70 million active users. However, a few days later (September, 2nd), the company announced that it has over 90 million users.
As of September 13th, HarmonyOS users officially exceeded 100 million. By September 27th, Huawei’s OS users had increased to 120 million. As of early October, the HarmonyOS 2 had over 150 million users in China. In December, HarmonyOS users now exceed 220 million. However, this system is yet to leave the shores of China. According to reports, global users will have HarmonyOS next year.
