Realme 9 Pro+ 5G passes by Bluetooth SIG certification

Realme 9 Pro+

Realme is gearing up to introduce the Realme GT 2 series on January 4 in China. Meanwhile, the company is also preparing a set of new contenders for its number series. In 2021, the company broke its usual tradition of launching two generations of its number series, and we only saw the Realme 8 series debut. The devices were somewhat lackluster in comparison to other Realme 2021 smartphones. For instance, the Realme 8 Pro had the same processor found in the 6 and in the 7 Pro. As a result, we are expecting the Realme 9 series to be much bigger. Otherwise, the company will lose ground for its main competitiors in the segment.  The new devices have been targets of multiple leaks in the past few days, in the most recent advanced, the Realme 9 Pro+ passed through the Bluetooth SIG certification.

The Realme 9 series will be composed of a Realme 9i, Realme 9, 9 Pro and a new variant dubbed Realme 9 Pro+ 5G. This latter device will offer the best specifications and had its model number revealed by the Bluetooth certification authority. The device was spotted with RMX 3393 model number. The listing confirms that the new smartphone will come with Bluetoothy version 5.2. Apart from the model number and the bluetooth spec, the certification does not goes deep into the details. Hopefully, more specs will emerge in the coming days as the device may be getting closer to a release.

Gizchina News of the week

Back in September 2021, Realme’s CMO, Francis Wong teased the launch of the Realme 9 series. According to previous findings, the Realme 9 Pro+ will come with 5G connectivity. The 9 Pro+ 5G will come with a 65 W fast-charging solution. This has been pretty much a standard for recent Realme smartphones, but the Realme 8 Pro downgraded the charging to 50W. This year, we expect Realme to unveil smartphones with its 125 W UltraDART charging. So it’s natural to see more of its mid-range smartphones getting the 65W charging from its flagships. Interestingly, the Realme 9i will also get an upgrade with 33W charging as devices in this category usually come with 18W charging.

Going back to the Realme 9 Pro+ 5G, the device will come with a 50 MP main camera with an f/1.8 aperture and EIS. The front-facing camera will come with a 16 MP selfie snapper. We expect the device to come with a powerful chipset like the Snapdragon 870 or the Dimensity 1200. Since the Pro usually is still a mid-range smartphone, we expect the Pro Plus to be an entry-level flagship.

Wake up Realme. 9 pro with the hardware of the 7 pro. A chip 860 snapdragon or 720p snapdragon, amoled 120hz, 65w charger, android 12 stereo speakers, 5000 mAh and you have a super mid – range smartphone. 680 snapdragon and 695 snapdragon are for garbage.
