Today was a big day for Xiaomi enthusiasts. The company introduced its very first flagships for the 2022 season featuring Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. In addition to the Xiaomi 12, and Xiaomi 12 Pro with the latest Qualcomm chip, it has also unveiled a compact Xiaomi 12X featuring the Snapdragon 870 SoC. In addition to the new smartphones, the company also revealed MIUI 13 after much anticipation and other products. As far as the segment of wearables is concerned, the company is bringing a new Xiaomi Watch S1 smartwatch as well as an all-new Xiaomi TWS Earphones 3. The smartwatch is the most premium Xiaomi’s watch to date featuring sapphire glass coating, stainless steel, and a 1.43-inch AMOLED display.

As aforementioned, Xiaomi Watch S1 flaunts a gorgeous circular display with a 1.43-inch diagonal. It’s vivid and crisp thanks to its AMOLED nature. The display features a sapphire glass coating ensuring that it won’t scratch so easily. The wearable also comes with a stainless steel body for those who care for premium looking. Interestingly, it also comes with third-party application support. However, the company is yet to reveal how this will work. We assume that other health-monitoring apps can also be paired with the wearable to extract its data.

The Xiaomi Watch S1 can track as much as 117 sports and offers 5 ATM waterproof. There’s an onboard NFC module for cashless payments. Interestingly, it also comes with a microphone and a speaker for calls via your paired smartphone. There are heart rate sensors, blood oxygen (SpO2), and sleep tracking features. It’s not too dependent on the smartphone thanks to integrated GNSS positioning.
The Watch S1 draws its powers from a 470 mAh battery. According to Xiaomi, this can last up to 12 days with mixed usage. Xiaomi’s wearable costs CNY 1,049 ($165) with the rubber wristband. The Leather strap models come at CNY 1,199 ($175).
Xiaomi TWS Earphones 3
The Xiaomi TWS Earphones bring Active Noise Cancellation. It can reportedly cancel up to 40 dB noise around you. The system utilizes a triple microphone system that also comes with transparency mode. It allows you to hear some of the outside noise when you need to talk to someone next to you.
Xiaomi claims up to 7 hours on a single charge with ANC off. This goes up to 30 hours if you carry the charging case around. The case can charge via USB-C or wirelessly via any compatible Qi charger. The buds offer IP55 dust and water resistance.
In terms of pricing, the earbuds cost CNY 449 ($70).
