OnePlus’ rollout of the OxygenOS 12 update for its 2021 flagships, the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro was subject to a lot of issues, ultimately forcing the enthusiast smartphone brand to pull the update until a proper fix.
A new version with fixes did debut a couple of days later, but it too left some bugs unresolved, to the inconvenience of the customer. Now, OnePlus recently announced a new stable OxygenOS 12 update for the company’s best phones, based on Android 12.
The latest release comes with fixes for a few issues present in the OS, including a bug affecting the system upgrade in some scenarios, as well as the 5G network support.
Latest OxygenOS 12 Update for OnePlus 9 Series Fixes Previous Issues from Old Update
The patch follows a previous batch of fixes that fixed issues with the phones’ connection dropping, notification based issues and certain display bugs. These updates should fix the remaining issue on Oxygen OS 12 for the OnePlus 9 series.
As is the case, the over-the-air or OTA update is going to be available in an incremental fashion, with the build number being C.40. What this means is that it will arrive on your handset in the coming days.
Furthermore, the company is also providing a new guide to help users adapt to the new updates on OxygenOS 12, with most of them coming from ColorOS.
