OnePlus 9RT smartphone and the OnePlus Buds Z2 true wireless earbuds are slated to launch in India soon. The Chinese consumer electronics giant launched the OnePlus 9RT in its home country in October 2021. To recall, the OnePlus RT, as well as the Buds Z2 were spotted on the company’s Indian website last month. However, even nearly three months after hitting the store shelves in China, the smartphone hasn’t gone official in India.

Much to the delight of OnePlus fans that have restlessly been waiting to get their hands on the 9RT and Buds Z2 TWS earbuds, OnePlus India has teased their imminent launch. Taking to Twitter, OnePlus India shared two posts, teasing the OnePlus 9RT, OnePlus Buds Z2 launch in the country. The tweets featured teasers with Morse codes. When you decode the Morse codes, the tweet reveals that the OnePlus 9RT and OnePlus Buds Z2 are headed to India.

The OnePlus Buds Z2 earbuds are currently only available in the US, the UK, Europe, and China. However, this is likely to change soon as the upcoming earbuds have been spotted on the OnePlus India website. Regrettably, OnePlus is still mum on the exact India launch date of the two hotly-anticipated products. Nevertheless, a report by MS Power User suggests that the company could be launching the Buds Z2 in India this month.

OnePlus 9RT Specifications
The new OnePlus 9RT smartphone features a 6.62-inch fluid AMOLED display with Full HD+ (1080 x 2400 pixels) resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Aside from that, the screen delivers brightness of 1300nits and HDR10+. Moreover, it has a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass on top for additional protection. It also houses an optical in-display fingerprint scanner. The phone packs an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC, that uses a 5nm process. The Snapdragon 888 processor is integrated with a highly competent Adreno 660 GPU.
Furthermore, the phone ships with 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and offers 256GB of UFS3.1 storage. An earlier report suggests that the India version of the OnePlus 9RT will be available in two variants, including a 8GB RAM+128GB storage and a 12GB RAM+256GB storage model. The Chinese version of the 9RT runs Android 12. However, it is unclear whether the Indian model will run Android 11 or Android 12. To recall, the device made its appearance on Google Play Supported devices list running Android 11 OS.
For optics, the 9RT houses a triple rear-mounted camera with an LED flash. The phone features a 50MP Sony IMX766 main camera, a 16MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 2MP macro lens. Aside from that, it has a 16MP Sony IMX471 sensor on the front for capturing selfies and video calling. Moreover, the front shooter comes with EIS. A robust 4,500mAh battery with 65W Warp Charge 65 fast-charging support powers up the entire system. In addition to that, the phone has a dual stereo speaker setup and a USB Type-C charging port.
On the downside, the phone has ditched the 3.5mm audio jack. As a result, you’d need to use the charging port for the audio. The phone measures 162.2×74.6×8.29mm and weighs 198.5 grams. The 8GB RAM+128GB storage model could retail for around INR 40,000, while the 12GB RAM+256GB storage variant could set you back around INR 44,000. Likewise, the OnePlus Buds Z2 could carry a price tag of INR 4,999 in India.
