The South Korean tech giant is gearing up to announce the Galaxy S22 series smartphones. The word on the street is that the upcoming lineup will feature three models. Moreover, earlier reports suggest that the phones could launch on February 8, and go on sale in select markets on February 18.
After launching globally, the Samsung Galaxy S22 series smartphones are likely to launch in India soon. The company has kept the exact Galaxy Unpacked launch date under wraps. Samsung will reportedly unveil the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+ and the Galaxy S22 Ultra premium smartphones at the event. While nothing is set in stone yet, the Samsung Galaxy S22, and the Galaxy S22 Ultra phones’ specifications have popped up on the internet.

The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra smartphone will the premium offering from the South Korean company for H1 2022. The company will be announcing three models under the Galaxy S22 series. According to Zaryab Khan (XEETechCare), some of the previously tipped features could prove to be true. For instance, the Galaxy S22 Ultra is likely to sport a boxy design just like the Note series. Furthermore, the phone will sport a 6.8-inch Dynamic 2X AMOLED display with a QHD+ (3080 x 1440 pixel) resolution.

Aside from that, the display features a centrally aligned hole-punch cutout with curved sides. Moreover, the phone weighs around 228 grams. Under the hood, the phone will pack either an Exynos 2200 or Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC based on the region. Also, the phone will ship with 8GB and 12GB of RAM. The S22 Ultra will reportedly offer 512GB, 256 and 128GB of onboard storage options. An earlier report suggests that the phone will also come in a 1TB storage option. The phone will draw its juices from a 5000mAh batter that will probably support 45W fast charging.

For optics, the Galaxy S22 Ultra will house four rear-mounted cameras featuring a 108MP Super Clear Lens, according to a report from GSM Arena. Aside from that, the phone will feature a 12MP ultrawide camera and a couple of 10MP telephoto lens with OIS, 3x and 10x zoom support. Upfront, the phone features a 40MP shooter for selfies and video calling. Furthermore, you will be able to choose between Burgundy, Green, Phantom White, and Phantom Black color options.
