A fresh leak has shed more light on the Apple iPhone 14 Pro smartphone’s display features several months before launch. Apple is slated to take the wraps off its iPhone 14 series smartphones in September this year. The word on the street is that the upcoming lineup will feature four new handsets. Regrettably, some reports claim that the Cupertino-based tech behemoth will ditch the mini model this year.
Apple is reportedly gearing up for an imminent launch of two iPhones sporting 6.1-inch displays. Aside from that, the upcoming iPhone 14 series will include two models that sport mammoth 6.7-inch screens. Moreover, the iPhone 14 Pro is likely to undergo a radical design overhaul, if earlier reports are anything to go by. Last month, a report suggested that the iPhone 14 Pro models will replace the notch with a hole-punch cutout. Now, a fresh piece of information from a noted tipster suggests that the Pro model will sport a pill-shaped cutout, rather than featuring a wide notch.
Apple iPhone 14 Pro Display Features Leaked
Taking to Twitter on Thursday, January 6, noted leaker Dylan revealed some key iPhone 14 Pro display features. According to Dylan’s tweet, the iPhone 14 Pro models will have a tiny pill-shaped cutout for the front shooter. Aside from that, the Pro models are likely to retain the Face ID. The phone will have in-display sensors as well. In other words, the new iPhone’s FaceTime camera will be sitting in a new place, with Face ID-related sensors going under the display.
I am able to corroborate information regarding a hole punch camera for the pro models of the iPhone 14. Face ID hardware will be placed under the display. As a reassurance to any concerns, the functionality of these sensors have not been negatively affected by this change.

According to a report by IndiaToday, Apple will be adopting an advanced technology that enables Face ID sensors to function despite having a glass coating and screen over it. Furthermore, the leaker claims that the in-display Face ID sensors haven’t presented any problem yet. Interestingly, the new shred of information coincides with past leaks that hinted at the elimination of the notch. However, earlier reports have indicated that the iPhone Pro will have a hole-punch cutout instead.
Meanwhile, the rest of the iPhones will reportedly retain the notch.
What Else To Expect?
If rumors making the rounds online prove to be true, the iPhone 14 will sport a 6.1-inch display. The iPhone 14 Max, on the other hand, will feature a larger 6.7-inch screen. Moreover, the Pro variants will come with 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch panels. This year, the Pro models are likely to house a sensor with a higher megapixel. Aside from that, the 14 Pro models will reportedly feature a 48MP primary camera. The iPhone 14 Pro Max design renders have popped up on the internet not too long ago. These leaked design renders suggest that the Pro Max model will come in a titanium frame.
Likewise, the standard Pro model will have a titanium build. Aside from that, both iPhone Pro models could house three rear-mounted cameras. Moreover, the upcoming iPhone 14 series smartphones will reportedly pack a more powerful A16 Bionic chip under the hood. These models could also get more RAM.
