The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8, and the Galaxy Tab S8+ tablet’s renders and key specifications have popped up on the internet. The South Korean tech behemoth is hard at work on several products during the first half of this year. Next month, the company will be unveiling the much-awaited S22 series smartphones. Aside from that, the Samsung Galaxy M-series and A-series smartphones are slated to go official in February 2022.
In addition to launching some hotly-anticipated smartphones, Samsung will reportedly announce the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 series in the coming days. The word on the street is that the company will launch the tablets in Q2 of 2022. However, Samsung has neither confirmed nor denied the speculations surrounding the launch timeline. While nothing is set in stone yet, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 and the Galaxy Tab S8+ tablet’s design renders have leaked.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Series Design Renders & Specifications
A new report by WinFuture sheds more light on the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 series’ specifications. The recently surfaced Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 series design renders aligned with past leaks. The vanilla S8 and the S8+ will house two cameras at the back including a 13MP main camera and a 6MP ultrawide lens. Moreover, the devices will sport a 12MP front shooter, which will appear on the right edge when the tablet is held vertically.

Under the hood, the devices will reportedly pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. Furthermore, both models will reportedly ship with 8GB of RAM and offer 128GB / 256GB of onboard storage capacity. Also, the devices will come with a microSD card slot for storage expansion. The most notable difference between the two models is lie in their display. The two tablets feature noticeably thin bezels around the display encompassing a 120Hz screen. However, the Galaxy Tab S8+ sports a larger screen.
The Galaxy Tab S8+ features a 12.7-inch AMOLED display that offers WQXGA+ (2800 x 1752 pixels) resolution. The standard S8, on the other hand, will sport an 11-inch LTPS TFT display. The vanilla S8 will be drawing its juices from an 8000mAh battery. However, the Galaxy Tab S8+ will be backed by a 10090mAh cell. Furthermore, the devices will run Android 12L with a layer of OneUI 4.0 on top. The Tab S8 Ultra model features a 14.6-inch AMOLED display with WQXGA+ resolution.
Moreover, the right edge of the screen will feature a tiny notch for the 12MP front shooter. Likewise, the Ultra model will reportedly house a secondary 12MP camera. However, details about the camera’s focal length are still scarce. The device will use an 11,200 mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging to power up the entire system. Furthermore, the three tablets are likely to come in 5G and WiFi models.
