Infinix INBook X2 launched with Intel 10-Gen SoCs and lighweight profile


Infinix made its entry into the segment of the laptops with the INBoox X1 series. Now, the Transsion Holdings-owned brand is unveiling the new generation in the form of its InBook X2. It’s a 14-inch sleek laptop with a thin and light profile. It packs aluminum alloy chassis and, once again, brings Intel’s 10th Generation CPUs.

Infinix INBoox X2 specifications

The INBoox X2 is quite lightweight with just 1.25 kg and is also just 14.8 mm thick. As aforementioned, the laptop packs a 14-inch IPS LCD screen with a Full HD resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. The screen has a 16:9 aspect ratio and also has 300 nits brightness. The laptop also packs dual-LED flash modules on each side of the built-in webcam for optimal clarity during video chats.

Users can choose between multiple configurations. For instance, there is a basic model with an Intel Core i3-1005G1 SoC. There is also an intermediary option with the Intel Core i5-1035G1 processor. Finally, we have a top-of-the-line variant with an Intel Core i7-1065G7 CPU. The laptop is also available in option with 8 GB or 16 GB of RAM. In terms of storage, it has 256 GB or 512 GB of M.2 NVMe PCIe 3.0 SSD. So, it’s a relatively fast laptop when it comes to storage.

Interestingly, the Intel Core i3 and Intel Core i5 models come with the Intel UHD Graphics. However, the Infinix INBook X2 model with the Intel Core i7 CPU boasts the faster Iris Plus G7 GPU. It’s not at the level of powerful GPUs nor is it close to some of the recent Ryzen APUs, but is still a solid GPU and you may be able to play lightweight games.

In terms of connectivity, the laptop has two USB Type C ports, Two USB Type-A ports, and a full-sized HDMI connector. There is also an SD card slot and a headphone/microphone combo jack. The laptop comes with a 50 Wh battery which charges very fast thanks to the 45 W USB Type C power adapter that supports USB PD charging. According to Infinix, you can get up to nine hours of mixed usage on a single charge. This can go up to eleven hours of web browsing.

Worth noting that the laptop comes with the latest Windows 11 Home and also has a fingerprint scanner in the power button. As we can see, Infinix did some nice refreshments in this particular model. It’s a decent laptop for students and those who a light, portable, yet capable laptop.

Pricing and Availability

The Infinix INBook X2 comes in a wide array of colors. The list includes Grey, Blue, Green, and Red. The Intel Core i3 model starts at $399, the i5 is set at $549. Meanwhile, the high-end i7 version will set you back by $649. Indonesia, Thailand and Egypt will be among the first countries getting the Infinix X2 series on January 22.
