Last year, Huawei released the Huawei P50 series flagship smartphone. However, due to chip shortages and other reasons, this smartphone has largely been out of supply. This smartphone also does not support 5G which is regrettable. However, according to recent reports, Huawei may soon launch a custom version of the Huawei P50 series. There are speculations that the custom Huawei P50 series will support 5G network. However, this smartphone will not be manufactured by Huawei.
TD Tech will be the manufacturer of the custom Huawei P50 series and this is why the smartphone can support 5G. TD Tech is a licensee of Huawei hardware products. This will not be the first time that this company will produce a Huawei device. The TD Tech N8 Pro is basically the Huawei nova 8 Pro 5G. TD Tech also produced the Huawei Mate 40 series and other models. Whether or not TD Tech will give the Huawei P50 series a new name remains to be seen.
This smartphone will be a TD Tech device but most of the components will come from Huawei. According to TD Tech’s products plan, the company will customize the Mate series, P series, nova series, Watch GT series, Huawei Band series, MatePad series, and more.

However, it is important to note that most of the specs of the Huawei P50 custom version will remain the same as the regular version.
Huawei will use TD Tech to bypass the U.S. ban
Due to the fact that the US authorities consider Huawei as a threat to national security, it was banned from using technologies and components created by American companies. To somehow stay afloat and bypass the ban, Huawei resorted to all sorts of tricks. One of the latest is the release of their own devices under a different brand.
TD Tech was entrusted to carry the company’s products to the masses, and everything was furnished so that it received a license to use Huawei’s developments. At the moment, the company has only one smartphone – TD Tech N8 Pro, which is essentially nothing more than Huawei Nova 8 Pro. The company will also re-release the Huawei Mate 40E 5G under its own brand.
This will not end the rebranding. All current Huawei smartphones of the Mate, P, Nova and Enjoy series will be released under the TD Tech brand. And also under the new brand will be released smartwatches, tablets, smart TVs, and fitness bracelets. The naming of devices should be changed. There is no information on how long it will take to re-release Huawei devices under the TD Tech brand.
