The Samsung Galaxy Home Mini 2 smart speaker has bagged the Bluetooth SIG certification, hinting at its imminent launch. Smart speakers lineup from the South Korean tech giant haven’t garnered huge popularity globally. Back in 2020, Samsung announced the Samsung Galaxy Home Mini smart speaker at the Galaxy S20 series launch event. Regrettably, the company did not release the smart device outside its home country of South Korea.
Likewise, Samsung had teased the arrival of Galaxy Home, but the smart device did not end up hitting the store shelves. However, if a fresh piece of information is anything to go by, Samsung is pulling its socks up in a bid to tighten its grip on the smart device segment. Now, it looks like the tech behemoth is working on the Samsung Galaxy Home Mini successor dubbed the Samsung Galaxy Home Mini 2.
Samsung Galaxy Home Mini 2 Bluetooth SIG
Earlier this month, noted leaker Max Jambor (via GSM Arena) revealed that Samsung is working on the Galaxy Home Mini 2 smart speaker. Now, the smart device has made an appearance on the Bluetooth SIG certification website, carrying model number SM-V320. Furthermore, the certification website divulges details about the smart device’s connectivity. According to the listing, the Galaxy Home Mini 2 will support Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity. With the smart speaker bagging the important certification, it is clear that Samsung will be launching it soon.

Moreover, there is a possibility that Samsung could unveil the Galaxy Home Mini 2 smart speaker during its impending Galaxy Unpacked event next month. Samsung will be taking the wraps off the hotly-anticipated Galaxy S22 series smartphones and the Galaxy Tab S8 series at the event. Regrettably, other details about the Galaxy Home Mini 2 smart speaker are few and far between at the moment. As mentioned, Jambor had shed some light on the device’s launch timeline in his tweet.
Launch Time & Other Details
According to the tweet by Jambor, Galaxy Home Mini 2 is currently in the production phase. In other words, Samsung could be sharing vital pieces of information about the upcoming smart speaker in the coming days. Furthermore, the upcoming smart speaker is likely to follow in the footsteps of the two previously launched Samsung smart speakers. So, it could provide the option to summon the Bixby smart assistant. Aside from that, it is unclear what kind of hardware and software the new Samsung smart speaker would pack under the hood, and run on.
