Twitter is reportedly gearing up to hire over 50 engineers for its Singapore regional office by the end of 2023. In other words, the social media giant is on the verge of doubling its engineering headcount at its Singapore-based engineering center. As a result, the number of engineers will be over a hundred by the end of 2023. Back in 2020, Twitter set up its Asia-Pacific engineering center. Now, the center currently has over 50 engineers, product managers, researchers, and data scientists.
Twitter To Hire More Engineers In Singapore
On Tuesday, January 25, Twitter announced that the new hires will work on global initiatives. However, they will be living in Singapore. Furthermore, these new hires will have multiple roles including product management, machine learning, data science, and engineering. Aside from that, the team will handle a project that involves developing new product experiences, enhancing the reliability of the platform, and speeding it up. They will also be working on bringing more personalized content for the Twitterverse.
