However, it looks like the popular brand will be kicking off the new year with a bang by launching its latest X-series smartphone dubbed the Poco X4 5G. Moreover, Poco is reportedly gearing up to bring the Poco X4 5G into the Asian, as well as the global markets.
To recall, the Poco X4 5G smartphone bagged Malaysia’s SIRIM certification carrying model number 2201116PG in January. Since then, the rumor mill has been churning out speculations surrounding the X4 lineup’s launch date, specs, and other details. Aside from that, the Poco X4 and the Poco X4 Pro have already passed through multiple certification websites to date. Now, the same Poco phone that grabbed the SIRIM certification last month, has appeared on the NBTC website. As expected, the listing has shed more light on the phone’s key details.
Poco X4 5G Receives NBTC Certification
The vanilla variant of the Poco X4 5G smartphone has been spotted on Thailand’s NBTC (National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission) certification website. Last month, the phone was also spotted on the BIS website with model number 2201116PI. The latest NBTC listing confirms the phone’s moniker and hints at its upcoming launch. Taking to Twitter earlier today, noted leaker Abhishek Yadav shared a screenshot of the phone’s NBTC listing that divulges some details about the upcoming handset.

First off, the NBTC certification image confirms that the new Poco phone will be carrying the Poco X4 5G moniker. As the name suggests, the handset will support a 5G network. Regrettably, the phone’s listing on the NBTC website does not reveal any other detail. However, 91mobiles discovered that the Poco X4 5G Indian variant has received the BIS certification as well. The phone is linked to model number 2201116PI (“I” stands for India). This is a sign that the X4 5G will be heading to the Indian market soon. Moreover, past leaks have revealed the Poco X4 5G smartphone’s key specifications.

The upcoming X4 5G will sport a 6.67-inch S-AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. For optics, the smartphone will house a 108MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 2MP macro lens at the back. Upfront, the handset will reportedly feature a 16MP shooter for video calling and capturing selfies. Furthermore, the phone is likely to boot Android 11 OS with a layer of MIUI 13 on top.
Aside from that, some reports suggest that the phone will pack a Snapdragon 695 SoC under the hood. Also, it could ship with 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and offer up to 256GB of onboard storage. A 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging support could power up the entire system. Moreover, the phone will have a side-facing fingerprint scanner, dual speakers, and a microSD card slot.
