Vivo launched the Vivo T1 and T1x and now is bringing a third variant dubbed Vivo T1 5G. The device is reaching the Indian market and has some similarities with its two siblings. However, if we put these similarities aside we’ll see significant details in the specs package that make this a more interesting option. Vivo seems to be committed to expanding its range of 5G smartphones in the Indian market. Earlier this year, the company brought the Vivo V23 series and now is bringing a device for a more affordable price segment.
Vivo T1 5G specifications
In terms of specifications, the Vivo T1 5G packs a 6.58-inch IPS LCD screen with Full HD+ resolution. It has 2,400 x 1,080 pixels and a 120 Hz refresh rate. There is also a waterdrop notch at the top for the 16 MP selfie snapper.
Moving around to the back, the Vivo T1 5G comes with a triple-camera setup. However, the main camera is the only one that deserves your attention. It’s a main 50 MP camera joined by a 2 MP macro snapper and a 2 MP depth-sensing module. Of course, the Funtouch OS will bring some software features to make the camera setup more interesting. At the end of the day, you shouldn’t expect more than a mid-range-like camera capability.
Gizchina News of the week
Under the hood, the Vivo T1 5G brings the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G. That’s the very same chipset found on the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G which is also available in India. However, the T1 5G is priced much lower. There are various RAM options – 4 GB, 6 GB, 8 GB – but a single storage option with 128 GB. Interestingly, you can expand the storage via a micro SD card slot. For now, it’s unclear, but we can also expect Funtouch to add its virtual RAM feature.
The Vivo T1 5G runs Android 11-based Funtouch OS 12 which may be a major disappointment for certain users. We can still hope for an Android 12 update in the future. Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, 5000 mAh battery with 18W charging, stereo speakers, and a headphone jack.
