Nubia is gearing up to reveal the Nubia Z40 series this month. There are at least two devices coming soon – Nubia Z40 and Nubia Z40 Pro. Unfortunately, the company didn’t reveal when the handset will come but has been teasing it quite a lot. Today, Nubia’s head, Ni Fei has teased the Nubia Z40 Pro camera capabilities on Weibo. He posted an image captured with the upcoming flagship and the result is quite satisfactory.
Unfortunately, the executive kept the camera’s specifications a mystery. Anyway, it has been previously confirmed by the company that the device will have a Sony IMX787 sensor paired with a 35 mm lens. This particular unit will have an f/1.6 aperture and will have Optical Image Stabilization. Nubia states that this will reduce the image distortion by around 35 percent, it will also gather 80 percent more light, and improve the picture clarity by 78 percent. The company also teases this as one of the best devices for portrait shots.
Gizchina News of the week
Nubia Z40 Pro brings Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, an industry-first cooling system, and up to 16 GB of RAM
The company also previously confirmed the smartphone with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. Not only that, the company is proud of its heat dissipation system. According to them, the system will offer 300 times better heat dissipation coefficient. Nubia has certain expertise when it comes to heat dissipation, especially with its Red Magic series which brought an active cooling system with a physical fan.
The company is calling the Nubia Z40 Pro a “Frost Dragon”. The company uses a system that integrates graphite and a three-phase cooling solution. As usual, the system comes to keep performance, especially in games, sustainable for longer sessions. As per the executive, after a long playing session with Genshin Impact, the phone didn’t go beyond the 25 ºC mark.
We can also expect Nubia Z40 Pro to bring up to 16 GB of RAM and 512GB of Internal Storage. The company’s Nubia Red Magic 7 boasts an impressive 165 W fast-charging system. We wouldn’t be surprised to see that insane charging speed on Nubia Z40 Pro as well. If that isn’t the case, then, we may see something close to the 125W fast-charging mark. After all, this was the standard set by the last year’s Nubia Red Magic 6 series.
The company will also unveil a vanilla Nubia Z40 which will have slightly lower specifications. For now, the specs sheet of this device remains a mystery. But we should hear more in the coming days. There are still two weeks until the end of February, so the leaks and teasers will intensify in these coming days
