The Vivo V23 lineup started in November last year with the launch of the Vivo V23e 5G. It got expanded recently with the launch of the Vivo V23 and V23 Pro in India in the last month. However, the original phone that started this lineup never made its way to the Indian market. This will change soon as the company has now confirmed the launch of Vivo V23e 5G in India for February 21. While the Vivo V23 and V23 Pro are more expressive devices with better cameras and color-changing design, the V23e 5G comes as an entry-level offering in the series. Despite this, you’ll still get an excellent MediaTek Dimensity 810 with 5G connectivity.
Vivo V23e 5G specifications
Vivo has confirmed the launch of this new compelling mid-range for the next week. The device has decent specifications that we don’t see frequently in the mid-range segment. For instance, it packs a 6.44-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of Internal Storage. It also offers a micro SD card slot for further memory expansion. Like we said before, the powers of this device are ensured by a MediaTek Dimensity 810 chipset. To those unaware, this chipset comes with two ARM Cortex-A76 cores clocked at up to 2.4 GHz and six power-efficient ARM Cortex-A55 cores clocked at up to 2 GHz. The processor is efficient with a 6 nm fabrication process and brings a modest Mali-G57 MC2 GPU.

The Vivo V23e 5G will also feature an in-display fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication. In terms of a selfie camera, the device will get a 44 MP selfie snapper. Moving around to the back, there’s a 50 MP primary camera, an 8 MP ultrawide snapper, and a 2 MP macro snapper. The device, however, does not come with a color-changing Fluorite AG glass like its siblings. So the fancy color-changing mechanism under sunlight or UV light will not be present here. Curiously, India got another device series with this fancy design, the Realme 9 Pro and 9 Pro+.
The Vivo V23e 5G draws its powers from a 4,500 mAh battery complete with a decent 44W fast-charging. In terms of software, it brings Funtouch OS 12 but it still runs above Android 11. The Vivo V23e 5G was launched in Thailand with a price tag of THB 12,999 ($400 / €355) variant with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of Internal Storage. However, the device will cost less in India to pick the market below the vanilla Vivo V23.
