If nothing accidental happens, the Cupertino-based Apple holds the autumn conference in September. At these events, the company usually launches new iPhones. There is no reason to think that the manufacturer will deviate from this schedule. So this fall, we will meet the new-gen iPhone 14 series.
Why we are talking about this now is that in order to ensure the smooth supply of new phones, Apple ought to issue trial production orders for new iPhones to foundries around mid-to-late February every year. Thus, Apple should also have been started introducing the new product plans to partners so that the foundries could prepare a bill of materials (BOM) to establish appropriate production and testing machines.

According to various reports, the iPhone 14 series has recently entered the OEM trial production stage. For instance, Luxshare has received some orders for the iPhone 14. The bulk of the orders and the high-end version are still won by Hon Hai.
iPhone 14 Leaks
Well, this also means we can get some leaks concerning both appearance and specs. Say, today, we learned that this year’s iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro should adopt some major design changes. They include lowering the camera bump and removing the notch screen in favor of a punch-hole screen.
Gizchina News of the week
We should note that there have been many leaks saying that the manufacturers have had to make many changes in the product line planning of the iPhone 14 series this year. This means that the upcoming models differ from the previous models a lot. So the news we heard today is in line with what we heard before.
Well, the rumors had it that the company canceled the mini model. The two entry-level models of the iPhone 14 will have 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch screens, respectively. Other than that, the new large-screen iPhone 14 Max will become the new king in the series. The lower models will still come with bangs. So we can assume that the punch-hole screen will be adopted by the high-end versions. It should be a dual-punch-hole screen. All variants will support a 120Hz refresh rate.
Generally talking, the Pro and Max variants will get more major changes. Say, the Pro version will have 8GB of RAM for the first time in Apple’s history. On the back, it will also carry a 48MP camera.
All these upgrades will lead the phones’ prices to increase.
